Hello My obs has a huge red screen. I use elgato hd60 pro the new internal one. It worked fine till i had to restart my pc and when it came back up I opened it to stream and then it was just a big red screen? I've tried everything from deleting drivers and redownloading them to delete obs and all the above still a big red screen for the elgato. I've tried everything I could find and nothing works,. I used on obs literally 10 mins before it stopped working. I had to turn my pc off and on again and when It came on it would jsut have a red screen in obs. Even tho it works in xslpit an the elgato software. Any ideas?

Seem to have fixed it now. Deleted everything out of pc that had to do with streaming and redownloaded it. Then took the egato hd60 pro out of pc and reinstalled it also. Turned on pc downloaded obs-mp and boom it works again. I have no idea what it was but good bye stupid troubles lol.

From experience, that usually happens when you change the location of something that is in your scenes. So for example, if you have an overlay over your game footage and you decide to put it (the original file) in a new folder, then the red screen will happen. All you have to do to fix it is delete the overlay from your scenes and add it back in.

Hope this helps

Elgato
This happens if:

  • You use OBS 64bit and have the 32bit HD60 Pro drivers installed or vice versa
  • You select "Elgato Helper device (Unavailable)" - Don't select this. Choose "Elgato Game Capture HD"

You were right LtRoyal it wouldn't show me the Elgato Game Capture HD just the Elgato Helper device. After deleting and starting all over it showed that one finally. I switched over to obs-mp and liking it so far
