Question / Help Recording Thief TDP Problems

I'm trying to record gameplay of Thief (the 1996 original), and I can't get the program to record video. The game refuses to run in a window, so I use Monitor Capture, and it records my desktop perpetually. When I try and use Game Capture, it is completely black. Both times the audio works, and I can see the game as I play it, but neither method will record any gameplay footage.

I had this working previously but don't have the settings I used any more. I'll have a play around I see what I can figure out.
I seem to remember it was some combination of monitor capture and Aero disables which worked in the end.

EDIT: Are you using any fixes? Such as TFix or similar.

EDIT2: Seems things have improved vastly since I needed to do this. Get Taffer Fix here, game capture should work fine once you've done that.

I disabled Aero, and used both monitor and game capture, neither worked. I'm downloading TFix now, and I'll try it once I can get it to install (it doesn't seem to like the GOG version of the game for some reason).
