Recording system audio but not audio from microphone

I want to record only the system sound, excluding any sound from a microphone. To achieve this, I have selected only the audio output.

However, when recording the screen, it still captures microphone sound even though there are no audio input sources enabled. I have also attempted to change the device, but the sound continues to be recorded.

Furthermore, what is even more perplexing is that if I select a disconnected audio output device, such as the "Headphones (Soundcore Life Q30)," it still captures both system sound (audio output) and microphone sound. For instance in this case, both the system sound and the microphone sound were recorded:

How can I resolve this issue?

I was exploring the settings menu, I disabled the "Mic/Auxiliary Audio" option, which resolved the issue of the microphone not being recorded.

However, I have other scenes that require both microphone and audio recording. This means that in the "Headphones (micro+audio)" scene, I am unable to record the microphone if I keep the "Mic/Auxiliary Audio" option dissable .

What can I do in this situation? I am also confused about why there is audio input being recorded even when I have only selected "Audio Output Capture".

Global audio always exists, regardless of scenes. For example, I use scenes only to produce the picture, and something else produces the sound. So that something else is in a global mic, and there are no other audio sources to my OBS.

You can also have an audio source in a scene, and it will only be on when that scene is shown.

The trouble that I have with scene audio, is that it doesn't fade. As soon as the scene becomes active at the start of a transition, its audio cuts on, and it stays on until the end of its exit transition and cuts off. I'd much rather have it fade in and out, so I'd still have everything in the global sources, and use the Advanced Scene Switcher plugin to look at the current scene and do the fades:

Of course, you'd have several macros, to cover all of the fades that you need. You can have a lot, with each one looking for something specific, or you can have a few that are a little smarter about responding to *categories* of things instead of individuals. I use a naming convention for my scenes to create those categories...
