Question / Help Recording on PC then Editing on Mac OS X

So I have been using OBS to stream and record for a while. The recordings play back with no issues on my PC. When they're transferred to my Mac for post production for editing for YouTube the video playback is fine but no audio. I believe it comes down to an audio codec. I have this issue with both recordings in MP4 and FLV. The mac can playback the MP4 and FLV but it will not play any audio from the recording. I need to upload the 5+ hour video to youtube. Then download the video from youtube onto my mac for editing which is not the most productive workaround. I tried using OBSMP but no resolve.

Has anyone run into this issue ever?

People run into editing issues all the time but it's generally outside the scope of what we offer support for (the video does play back just fine after all). If you believe the AAC audio track is to blame you could record audio in MP3 instead to see if that works better, or remux the audio in your existing recordings to a supported format.
