Question / Help recording old games like Icewind dale 2

Well this is really weird coz i can record old baldurs' gate 2 without problems (well some weird resolution) but in Icewind dale 2 i can not force obs to record "game: icewind dale2" (black screen) so tried recording full screen rathern than game but characters are flickering and it is not fun to watch. Why? How do i fix this?

this is so weird but flickering is gone when i open "windowed" IWD 2 + screen recording (game recording can't find a window still)

why and why?
