Recording of video freezes, but not the audio. Only the first portion of a recording gets saved when stopped

Recorded video images are freezing in place, and the audio continues.

I also recorded a video that was just over 5 hours long. Yet when I went to review it, it only recorded the first 2 and a half hours.

Can I fix this?
