Question / Help Recording Line-in = Higher pitched, "phased" sound.

HI there,

I'm trying to use Open Broadcast Software so I can record guitar videos 1080p at 30fps with my Logitech C920 webcam and record audio from my Scarlett 8i6 interface at the same time. Unfortunately when I record a video, the picture quality and video itself is fine, but the audio from the interface sounds thin, tinny, a bit higher pitched and almost as if there is a strange phaser effect on top of it. If I set the C920 microphone as the audio device, it picks up that sound no problem without any strange effects.

I can record the line-in and it sounds fine with other software such as Debut but I cannot record videos in 1080p at 30fps using that software, so I would really like to be able to use OBS as it seems the best for what I'm trying to achieve. Logitech Webcam Software records in 1080p at 30fps but it won't record the Line-in in stereo which is what I'm after.

Could the problem be caused somewhere in the settings? I have tried fiddling with the encoding options etc. but nothing has worked so far. I will have another go after I get back from work today. If its not possible with OBS,could someone recommend me any alternative software that can record the C920 in 1080p/30fps and a Line-in from an audio interface in stereo? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Alex
