I was using my friends legato HD and if I tried to record on obs with 1080p and with the bit rate above 1500 it would lag. But now I just bought myself an Elgato HD 60, the newest version. I want to use obs so that I can use an overlay and a webcam but for some reason the video is extreamly laggy no matter. I cant figure it out. Do you think my lap top just isn't capable of recording videos with out laggy or do you think obs needs to release an update so that it works better for the legato hd 60. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions

Don't set it to 1080p manually -- we still don't support resolutions other than 720p. That crash (which is partly our fault) only happens when you change it away from 1280x720 to a higher resolution.

What about the lag with the new elgato hd60. Do you have any preferred settings or do you guys not support the elgato hd60 yet?

There have been reports of issues with the HD60. I'm trying to investigate. Supposedly setting its "use buffering" value to about 2000 can help with it but I need to get one before I can confirm.
