Question / Help Recording game audio

This may have been answered already, but here is my question. First off, my system specs are as follows

Windows 10 Pro x64
32 GB RAM
AMD 8320 8-core 3.5 GHz

OBS Studio version 0.15.2 (64 bit, Windows)

My current set up is terrible - i have audio from games being picked up by my mic from the pc speakers (which sounds extremely shitty). Is there a way to record game audio (which settings) so that my mic isn't picking up game audio from my speakers, instead from the game itself?

Thanks in advance

-Charles

I have been trying all day to post a 17 KB log (text/notepad) file and the page wont let me - it keeps cycling and nothing happens. If i try to copy and paste into here, then it is longer than the 10,000 character limit.

Well it seems MS Edge can upload it with no issues, FML. I tried it in Chrome and FF (both did the same thing)

The logs show that the game audio should be picked up before it gets to your speakers rather than being picked up through the mic. Do you get game audio when the mic is muted or disabled in OBS?

Hello Sir,

Between getting that working and now - my hard drive crashed entirely. I had to buy a new hard drive and run a clean install of windows. Attached is my log for my new install of OBS. Will you please take a look and see if I am missing anything - and where?

There's nothing in the log showing why your sounds are getting picked up the way you say they are.
