Question / Help Recording error: An encoder error occurred while recording.

@mundane140 your problem is different and is caused by COD:MW

I reinstalled COD:MW and I am no longer facing the issue.
Moreover, I was getting some stuttering in all games, moving all the sources into a single browser source also helped me.No more stuttering.

I too get this error while streaming. I have my drivers updated. It seems to only happen on assassins creed origins and LEGO DC supervillains.

I have discovered what caused the error for me at least. If anyone needs help with this error, feel free to ask. It may not be the cure but it might help click off one more area.

I have also recently got this issue while streaming, I've gone in and looked for any given issue that could of been it, and I still haven't found any reason why its doing this.

no prob. For me it was running display capture and window capture together when playing a game. specifically on my game scene add ons.

I get the following error: Recording error: An encoder error occurred while recording.

This happens when I start a recording and then start streaming. This is a new issue for me. Any idea what may be going on?

If I instead start the stream then hit Start Recording I get the following error: Encoding error: An encoder error occurred while streaming.

Your GPU ran out of memory. The AMD encoder is not particularly good in any case.

Damm even I am having a similar kind of issue, I have searched all over the internet and even have posted on number of threads on different forum, no solution seems to work. I am really frustrated, can anyone of you here help me resolve this issue, I am very much tired now.

Please make your own threads with your session logs.

If you aren't getting errors relating to nvidia driver versions, you do not have the same issue as the original poster.

I recently got an error message ("An encoder error has occured while recording") which happend when I recently updated OBS. Before updating, I never run into this issue (I'm recording on a laptop with an Intel CPU and GPU, if anyone wants to know)
