Question / Help Recording Dota 2 help

Hi, I start using OBS just few weeks ago,

I'm having difficulty to record Dota 2, even I low down the quality and low bitrate but still facing lot of freezing moment (gameplay is fine). I tried to record other games like Dark Blood Online at 720p with no problem.

Any suggestion? :D

since you are only recording change those settings


resolution of 1280x720
so are the 30 fps

change preset to ultrafast

check cfr
uncheck cbr
use bitrate/buffer of 15000

and use game capture if possible

also make sure that you chose your 820m as graphics adapter

Wow, thanks... it works like charm, I thought high bitrate made it freezing, now it's much better. Btw, after uncheck CBR the quality balance becomes select-able, and I'm using 6.

i know but the guide would use the veryfast preset which wont really work with that cpu probably but yet i forgot to mention to either set crf=22 or just use quality option of 10

but since it helped him without looking at the thread but using my time to writing something im quite happy about the result ;)
