Recording coming out choppy and lagging while playing Marvel's Avengers. Need help configuring settings to get rid of this.

I've been using OBS to record for a bit now, and after initially setting it up I haven't run into any problems. Until right now that is. I've been playing around with the settings for the past couple of hours trying to get rid of the lag and choppiness to no avail. For the sake of the recording I'm running the game on max graphics. And even after turning the graphics down as far as medium there's less choppiness and lag, but still a noticeable amount. Here are my specs:

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X
GPU: EVGA RTX 2080Ti
