Question / Help Recording but can't play the video

I record a video and it puts the video into my video folder in a flv file. When I try to watch the video with Windows video player it says the that it does not support flv files. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Windows Media Player doesn't support the codecs. He is saying use VLC which is a better Media Player.

Ok so I got VLC but what should I use to edit the videos? Any suggestions?
