Question / Help Recording Anachronox (Quake II Engine)

First time poster to the forums. I'm trying to record Anachronox, a game made using the Quake II Engine. Does anyone know any fixes or tricks in order to get OBS to work with the game? I haven't tried it with any other games that use the Quake II engine, but did manage to get older game engines to work.

Have tried using FRAPS and it works, but the files are way too huge for me and the aspect ratio is all wrong. Would love to use OBS for the play through I'll be doing.
