This is a weird one for me, I've been using OBS regular for a couple years but recently switched to OBS Studio so I could use the AMD encoder with my set up. For some reason, after working fine for a few weeks, now whenever I record videos with OBS Studio, the program shows the "stop recording" button implying they've been recording the entire time, and when I open the video file up in VLC player it shows the time stamp from start to finish as the full length of the video, yet after about halfway through the video, VLC player suddenly stops as though that was the end of the video even though it shows there's a lot more to it. And if I uploaded these videos to Youtube, just to be sure it wasn't some error with VLC player Youtube shows them as only being as long as VLC player had initially played them. (i.e. record a 30 minute video, play it in VLC and it cuts after 20 minutes despite it showing that its 30 minutes long, then youtube shows it as being only 20 minutes).
I'm not sure what to do to fix this and I'm not really positive what the error is. I've tried altering a number of setting including the bitrate and video quality but that doesn't seem to make a difference and it also affects the recorded video regardless of if I'm streaming while recording or not. But the streams are always fine.
