Question / Help Recorded streams seem to be audio only.

I recently recorded while live streaming and tried to upload the file into sony vegas for editing. After an error message, i opened the same file in various media players and could only get audio. Im not sure what could have gone wrong, and any help would be appreciated.

The same thing happened to me yesterday, there wasn't video with the audio. I couldn't tell ya, but its good to know there is someone else in the same boat

As far as i know, recording without broadcasting works fine (it did for me a few days ago), but while broadcasting is audio only.

EDIT: Just tested, Recording on its own works fine, but its definately audio only when recording while broadcasting.

I'm having the problem with just recording in general

I am having a problem recording while using OBS. The problem persists whether streaming or not. Here is the problem:

Recordings of more than 1 GB have no video. They are audio only mp4 files.
Is the video lost?
Is MP4 the only file output format available to OBS?
Why is this problem happening?
