Question / Help Record gameplay a/v only while watching a video

I have been searching for a way to be able to record only the game play (window) and be able to watch a video or stream separately without capturing the audio from those, and have been unsuccessful at finding such a way so I decided to ask here. Is this even possible? This question has nothing to do with a microphone.

It's difficult to separate out audio from programs. Lots of people want it, but no one wants to program it because it's a pain. For windows, only current option is virtual audio cable, which requires money unfortunately.

If I could clone myself like 5 times I'd program it in a heartbeat, but I'm just too busy with other things at the moment personally.

Thx for the quick reply. It just so happens that I do have VaC 4.12. However it does not seem to be doing what I wanted. It's possible that I have it set up incorrectly. If you can enlighten myself I would greatly appreciate it.
