Question / Help Recommended PC Upgrades

Hi, I have quite a good PC so don't really have any problems but my friend's PC isn't as good so when he streams he has to stream at quite low quality. If he puts too many sources on screen such as a facecam and gameplay then he gets high encoding warnings just the same as he does if the quality is high. So he obviously wants to start upgrading his PC. He currently has an AMD A10-6700 which has a Radeon 8670D GPU which I believe is all part of the AMD APU processor. RAM and internet aren't the issue.

I have been told loads of different things about what takes the load when livestreaming and whether it is more GPU or CPU intensive and I have no idea which is right and whether it is necessary to have a better GPU than CPU or both need to be good etc. So if someone could explain all that to me I would be really grateful along with what my friend needs to upgrade.

AMD CPUs are extremely weak and his CPU is a quadcore at a fairly low clockspeed for effective AMD CPUs.

Your friend will need to either change to an FX-8350 OR buy an intel (quadcore or better) CPU to have any good time streaming.

GPU is important, but not very. A low-end GPU will perform just as well as a high end one, as long as the PC isn't streaming PC games. If it IS streaming PC games, then a powerful graphics card is indeed important.
