I've been enjoying streaming speed runs for a couple of years now, but lately my Elgato GHD is causing problems when streaming. I tried downloading two of the oldest versions of Elgato and they seemed to work until problems arose such as no signal and stream not catching up with current play.
Seeing there's no fix or end in sight, I figured I need a new capture card that works with my Wii U and OBS original; I was thinking AVermedia, but I'm worried about getting a red screen when starting my OBS and the people I talked to have use it for X-Split. I mostly use a Laptop computer for streaming since I can't afford a desktop right now and I know my CPU isn't up to snuff, but it has at least allowed me to stream on twitch. I plan to submit a Final Fight 2 run to SGDQ before March 13, so any advice would help.
