REC UNDO - Last Take (after pause) UNDO option?

When recording, I often pause to add new takes, but if a take isn’t good enough, I’d like to delete it without restarting the whole session. This is crucial to avoid editing later.

An UNDO button during recording would save me a lot of time by removing only the unwanted takes. Could anyone help create a script for this? I tried ChatGPT, but I’m still learning.

Thank you,
Marko

I can see that being useful, but this is the first time I've thought about it. I think pretty much all of us that make that type of content just edit.

Would it be close enough to record short chunks as stand-alone files, drop the ones you want into a basic editor or even a transcoder, and take the result of that with no other processing? It's probably the same result as what you'd get from what you describe, and only a little bit more work from you.

If you're okay with a plugin and bit of scripting, you might use the Advanced Scene Switcher to automate the Start/Stop Recording, and optionally run an external script that finds the most recent file and deletes it. Now everything that's still there can go together, and you don't have to remember which was what.
