Question / Help really bad audio delay???!!!

if i start the stream from in game there is no delay. but i think its when i close the game and reopen it or if i alt tab to check something then the audio goes out of sync. i was streaming dayz and someone said that after i stopped running they could hear the footsteps for like 5 seconds still. yes i have that force audio desktop thingy checked. how am i suppose to alt tab or switch games and not worry about audio delay?

It seems you forgot to post your logfile.

Yeah first dont bump after just 2 hours. you can bump after a day if no answer but I would hope you would have another logfile of something else you tested. We are all volunteer here and are not on any timeframe to answer.

That being said,

change audio format back to AAC.

Uncheck set audio timestamps to video,

Third, set audio format to the same as windows playback devices by right clicking on the speaker icon next to the clock, double click on your speakers/headset advanced tab then see what audio format its using. if its 48000Hz, then set OBS to 48kHz. If its 44100Hz, then leave OBS as is.

final set custom buffer to the same as the bitrate for streaming and enable CBR.

Make sure you exit out of OBS and start it again before using the 'upload' function. All of the links you've pasted go to different uploads of the same logfile.

OBS only closes the log out when OBS is exited; it doesn't upload the current session's log file. :)

After closing and opening OBS again, to finalize the logfile from the 5 minute test and close it (the file) so it can be uploaded.

audio encoding= aac, 48khz/ bitrate is 128 ans channel is stereo

video encoding= nvidia nvenc use cbr is checked, max bitrate is 3000 and so is custom buffer size

cfr is checked. force desktop audio to use video timestamps is unchecked

i think thats everything

Thats it. I dont know why you are unable to provide a log of that but those setting will work. one thing I mentioned is that the audio format, if your headphones ans speakers are 44100, then leave OBS at 44100Hz; just make sure the two match

You being on windows 7 should never use Monitor capture. that being said, After you changed those settings, what were the results of the audio delay?

The worse excuse to do something, is one that starts with "I saw this guy doing this once...."
