Question / Help Quicksync or nvenc for local recording?

I'm wondering if I should use quicksync or nvenc for local recording. I cannot use CPU encoding, because that requires too much CPU usage and negatively affects the game I mostly record (Guild Wars 2). Recording with Quicksync or nvenc has no impact on the game, which is really great. But what recording variant is better?

My computer:
cpu: i5-3570K
gpu: nvidia gtx 670
8 GB RAM, Windows 7
Resolution: 1920x1200

I set max. bitrate to 30000 for both Quicksync and nvenc, and with that the video quality is good enough to see no encoding artifacts any more. Ok, almost, but only on very fast changing scenes with highest details like grass.

From my point of view, Quicksync and nvenc encode with identical video quality. And with the same low CPU impact, OBS uses 4-8%. I think the game runs a little bit smoother with nvenc, but that may be an illusion, since everyone including me has been so eagerly waited on nvenc support.

Which one should I use? Would you say that there is an actual difference, so I should choose one over the other? Are games really running smoother with nvenc?

QSV seems to have a slightly better quality than nvenc, but it doesn't matter at all at such high bitrates for local recording.
