[Alpha Prime]

I have been looking all over to find a solution to this. I make the scene and then I choose the game capture source. This is for the Subnautica game. I have also tried it with other games. When I transition the game by alt + tab to OBS in preview, it just shows a screenshot of the game. I can't seem to find a way around. I have been trying to get it to work since last night.

Check with a local recording then playing back the recording in a GOOD media player.

This is normal if the game runs in fullscreen, when it's not visible it will stop rendering. Try a recording.

I'm assuming you meant by "local recording", the recording in OBS. Did it and played it back on a media player. Still a screen shot image. Nothing moving in the background like there should be. The only time it moved was when I switched back to the actual game.

Also, it shows a screenshot image as well in windowed mode. Window and Full both show a frozen image.

I figured it out. Yep a big noob moment. Didn't know you had to play the actual game while it records. That was a dumb moment.
