Question / Help Question To ElGato Users

Hey Guys,

Quick question regarding the ElGato and capturing PC. I have some games that I have to use the ElGato to capture because of issues with OBS, AMD and Drivers. Anyways, I tried hooking up the ElGato and everything went flawlessly but I noticed some contrast, fuzziness and blurriness to my screen. My question is, is it possible to find a Hdmi to 2 hdmi splitter that allows 2 active outputs?

So I have the HDMI going to my screen from my pc aswell to the ElGato?

I tried different settings and even different HDMI but it just seems to be an issues with my screen to the ElGato. Anyways, any ElGato users with any ideas on how to split a HDMI source into 2 to allow this to work would be wicked.

I would personally suggest just picking up a regular HDMI splitter from Amazon or such, after hearing about the numerous issues with Elgato's HDMI passthrough.

That's my fear. I heard that causes issues. Was hoping to see if anyone had luck. I love my ElGato but I honestly can't figure out why my screen looks like total crap when i set it up with my PC.

Most likely it doesn't pass through the signal untouched, but rather converts it to the format the device itself wants and then sends it on to your monitor.

Anyway, HDMI splitters don't have to be all that expensive to be okay, you just connect your video card to the input port on the splitter, then one of the outputs to the Elgato and the other output to your monitor.

yea, I seen some on ebay for like 7 bucks but it says that you can't have 2 active outputs from the 1 active inputs. Just trying to find someone who has some info on it and even which adaptor/splitter they used.
