Question / Help Question about playing videos on stream

I want to know if you can have macros to switch to a video with audio on OBS sort of like how DuckSauce does it (if anybody knows who I'm talking about). Would I just have to download the video file source plugin?

Additional Question - Is there any way to capture a window like stream chat without having windows overlap it should overlapping occur?

First question: I dont know of a Macro, but with the video plugin you can add a video to its own scene, and use hotkeys to activate the scene and hence start the video. later switch back with your hotkey as well.

Second question: Windows Aero (Transparency of the window border, taskbar etc) has to be active to capture a window that is in the background (not minimized). And of course use Window Capture (not monitor capture).
With aero off overlapping windows will show up on the capture, as you noticed. (or if you activate: capture layered windows in the window capture settings)

Thanks Jack! Will there be any updates in the future to have it so that Aero off won't capture overlapping windows?

Ah, its simply because of the way "Aero" works, that you can capture different windows without showing overlapping ones.
As soon as Aero gets deactivated, everythings rendered on one "flat" surface, so obs cannot "see" whats hidden behind another window, because its simply not rendered anymore by windows.
