Question / Help Question about movie maker and OBS

So I have windows 8 and when i set obs to file output i can play the file through windows 8 video app and the quality is fine ,but I want to edit it in movie maker and when i import it, the quality goes to crap. Any ideas, i know this isnt really an obs issue but I havent been able to find any solutions any help is appreciated.

If you're watching the video in Movie Maker itself, it's going to look bad. Movie Maker lowers the quality of the preview video that it renders to make the program work faster, but when you export it to an actual video file, it will look fine.

whenever i try to import an OBS video it wont even show up. do i have to change the file type?

Make sure CFR is enabled in OBS Advanced settings.

well, i also have a question because i don't know how to post a topic myself. well, i use windows movie maker as well and i have a file that doesn't seem to work for no reason, can anybody help me? i have cfr enabled but if it is movie maker, then do you have a really really simple to use editor for me? thx!
