Question about Monitoring Audio in Windows and Disabling Windows Desktop Audio

Hi,
I have an audio set up where I have all the global audio disabled in OBS settings and I bring in the audio as sources for different scenes separately to have more control. One of those sources is the desktop audio where i have a music app running to bring in music.

The issue is that I can hear the desktop audio from the "Windows" level through my headphones when the music is playing. I would like to not hear anything from the desktop audio on the "windows" level and only hear it when I have it set up as monitoring the channel in OBS. Is this possible?

Any help appreciated.

Dan, I found this tutorial (for Win 10 & OBS settings) useful on a similar question of my own...

Glad to hear it, best of luck!
For myself, I'm trying to record (not stream) the picture and audio of 4 separate Firefox streaming "feeds', (OBS scene is a 2x2 'quad' in UHD) but with the isolated sound from each of the four Firefox sources on the recorded file. There must be a way to do it-- problem is I can't find the answer....yet. I was hoping to find a software and/or plug-in solution as my PC has no available expansion slots.

That sounds very complicated :D I wish you luck. If I come across anything I'll post it.
