Question / Help Question about hardware

Hi !

I would like to do some streaming and I wonder if it's required to use an i7 4930K to have the best possible quality. Is OBS well multithreaded ?

Also, what is the best amount of RAM to be comfortable ? does low C/high frequency RAM affect OBS in anyway ?

My actual config is:
Phenom II X 6 1045T @ 3GHz
8 GB DDR3
GTX 760 OC

I wonder if an upgrade would be profitable.
 
A 3930 would be amazing for streaming but it's also expensive as hell and you get some seriously diminishing returns on live streaming for the money you're investing in the hardware. If you're willing and able to spend that much money on a system for streaming you would probably be better served by building a second PC with more modest hardware and a capture card to handle the encoding.
