Question / Help Qestion on Mic/Game Levels

I have a question for you folks about levels. Specifically what you typically have for your game audio levels vs mic audio levels to get a decent sounding balance.

I have my system speaker volume set at 100% and use OBS record level to adjust recorded volume. I have all my mics set at 100% in the system as well as in OBS. Here's the crazy thing though. IN order to get a decent recording balance where the voice input is slightly louder than the game audio, I have to set the game volume in OBS to 10%, and also set the mic boost in the settings to 4x vs 1x for game audio. It seems to me that this is kinda extreme settings in order to produce audio at a comfortable balance.

The primary mic I use is a Rockband 3 USB mic, which the system detects as a Logitech (Generic USB driver). I also have a Blue Snowball ICE and an ATR USB Microphone. I have all 3 set to listen and use the Stereo Mix as the Mic input device in OBS. Its level is set to 100% also. (I don't get feedback because my speakers are actually connected to the spdif port on the mobo, not the stereo speaker output) I do this so that I can have 3 distinct voices in my recordings without having to have 3 people gather around 1 mic. I need to use the crazy settings from the previous paragraph even if I only use one input at a time.

Are my levels typical for other OBS users? Do you all need to have your mic boosted to 4x and your game audio recorded at 10%? OR is there something very wrong with my setup/hardware?

It will vary from user to user, since different mics behave differently, some people use mic boost, some people don't play at 100% system volume...audio is hard. Whatever works for you is right, there's no "normal" settings.
