I am a research assistant in a lab working with an experiment coding software to run psychological experiments with an eye tracking software. We want to use OBS for screen recording, and I'm in charge of coding and integrating this, and I don't have great coding experience. I was able to code OBS to automatically start/stop recording and tested it with our eye tracking software and it worked well. The main problem I've run into is getting OBS to capture the right window.
The experiment software, upon running the code, creates the experiment window in either fullscreen or windowed. When it's windowed, OBS can capture and record it using window capture. When fullscreen, or windowed with the screen resolution and no GUI, OBS doesn't recognize it in both whole screen and window capture. Any ideas for how to fix this?
