Question / Help Push To Talk Not Working

Hey guys, sorry if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find any answers on it. I'm new to OBS, and I'm trying to set up Push To Talk. I use speakers, but I use my mic on my headset to talk (I don't use the headset). I normally set up my push to talk for ts/vent to middle mouse (which is hotkeyed to insert) but using this in OBS doesn't seem to work, I've tried other hotkeys and nothing is working (I am running OBS as administrator as well). I can hear EVERYTHING no matter what I do. I just want to be able to push the button when I speak so that nothing else is being picked up (my house gets noisy at times). Can anyone help me with this problem? I am trying to stream to Twitch.TV but everyone is hearing everything. Thank you!

Are you running OBS as administrator? Hotkeys sometimes require OBS be run as administrator unfortunately.

Er, as far as I know, OBS doesn't include a push-to-talk function at-current, simply a mic mute toggle hotkey option. So holding down the button would do nothing but possibly give an interesting strobe effect, depending on key-repeat settings.

FerretBomb, OBS has two configurable push to talk keys for the mic/input device. Like Jim said, try running OBS as Administrator.

Odd; was that added in the last patch? Hadn't noticed it until just now. Entirely likely I'm simply mistaken though.

Push-to-talk capability has been available in OBS for over a year.

EDIT: Checked the the OBS commit logs, it was added on September 26th, 2012.
