Question / Help Ps4 streaming with capture card and obs.

So I have an avermedia live gamer hd capture card and an hdmi to dvi converter. I have watched several videos on how to set everything up and I can stream it if I go into recentral the avermedia program it's self. The problem is I have to play the ps4 through that program, I've put an hdmi out of the capture card into my monitor but when I switch to hdmi on my monitor it doesn't pick anything up. Playing through recentral sucks because it's like 30 fps max with 24hz. If anyone can shed some light please do, I also have to do a monitor capture for some reason since my capture card on obs doesn't show anything.

You might need a HDMI splitter that removes the copy protection on the PS4. I'm using an Elgato and it wouldn't stream from the PS4 until I got a splitter. I had the same problem of using my PS4 going to the Elgato and into the monitor but nothing would show up. So pretty much I have a HDMI switch with XB1 and PS4 plugged in going into the splitter and from the splitter it goes into the Elgato and my monitor. This might be your problem if you're trying to stream through the PS4 with a capture card.
