Question / Help Properties Menu Breaks OBS

So this has been a thing with me for quite some time with OBS.
Everytime I'm in preview mode and try to access the properties menu of anything on my scenes OBS just stalls out and I'd need to force close it.
I'm trying to set up Chroma Key properly with my webcam and I need to see the preview to make sure my adjustments are proper. I can't keep trying to configure it properly and guess that the random numbers I'm selecting is getting the job done.
Is there a way to get the properties up while the preview is active? Because if not I can't set up chroma key right, ever.
 
Well I'm done with forums, every single one I've been to asking for help in the last seven years gets nothing always.
 
Maybe people just don't have an answer? I can access properties for my sources when previewing, I just can't test it with a webcam, because I don't own one.

But you could start by posting a log.
 
Sorry you are having trouble. I myself couldn't help either as I have no web cam. I did however test real quick with a preview and edit some properties and all worked fine for me as well.

What version of OBS are you running? When its running look at the top of the OBS window, it will say something to the effect of " - Open Broadcasting Software vx.xx". (if you are running the 32bit version) or " - Open Broadcasting Software vx.xx - 64bit" (if you are running the 64bit version) [where the "x.xx" will be the version umber].

Also, as the previous person mentioned, after it crashes - in the start menu; if you ran the installer - should link/be an item to go to the log folder. The newest file will be the latest error log to post up/look at.

Also, how is it you have only these two posts but you say you have been posting for seven years with no help?
