Question / Help Properly displaying sources when tabbing out.

Hello, guys.

I did a one time stream a few months back for a friend competing in a Hearthstone tournament, where I only used two window captures - one for the game, and one for the bnet client. When I was in game, you could only see the game on stream, when I tabbed out to the bnet client, you could see the client in front, with the game in the background.

Tried doing the same thing now, but it wouldn't work. It always displays the source which is on top in the list, no matter to which one you're tabbed to. So basically I have to manually change source order when tabbing out now to get the same effect.

Is there any way to have it like it was before?

No, OBS will always show whichever source is at the top of the sources list. If it was performing otherwise previously, that was a bug... and I'm not sure how that would happen.

Use two scenes, and switch between them with hotkeys.

Do I really have to use hotkeys to switch between scenes just to tab out for a few seconds now? There must be another way of doing this.

Using windows 7?

When aero is disabled Windows Capture captures stuff in front of it. With aero enabled, window capture does not capture stuff in front of it.

Or, maybe use monitor capture.
