Proper Now playing plugin

Could someone write something? There are two plugins available, one being abandoned and the other abandoned and somewhat broken. TeeBoard does offer this functionality, but only through last.fm.

There a bunch of working programs for this.
Without more info on what player(s), output formats etc etc you want it to work for, this thread is quite useless and more looks like a rant than anything :P

Ok. I fail at posting, heh.
Winamp. Output format is largely irrelevant if you mean either straight into the stream or to a file. Ideally if it could read id3 tags or somehow grab that from the player so I could configure what exactly is being shown in the stream.

Pretty sure at least one plugin exists for Winamp to write current song information to a text file, which could then be added as a text source in OBS.

I googled around and found almost nothing. Well there's one, but that's from 2008, and I doubt it would work.

It's been working without hiccups for about a year.
I've also tried snip and it works just fine for me as well. But you are indeed correct, there's no plugin for it (afaik), only 3rd party tools :)

As you can see, I already found a working solution.
