Question / Help Profiles are all the same??

This is a weird thing I have noticed with multiple installations of OBS (desktop+laptop of mine).

If I save a setup, say "Bob's Setup" and quit OBS, later all of the Profiles will be setup as "Bob's Setup" if I click through them all. I don't get that. Isn't the point of having multiple profiles is to save the characteristics of each? How come they aren't unique?

I am concerned because I need multiple setups and it took forever to set up my main one. I don't want to have to keep switching settings+GFX everytime I choose to stream something...

Any ideas? I tried switching setups but they all come up the same.

You create the profile first, THEN change the settings while it's selected. Any settings changes are saved to the currently active profile. I had the same impression of 'make changes, then create new profile to save them under' when I started using profiles too. I know, it's a little weird.

Could that be changed in the future? What if you want a cast with 4P and then a streaming profile with 1P or 2P?

Edit: The idea of having 10 - 20 scenes for multiple aspects of a show is concerning..

The OBS rewrite will have that ability. For now, if you want to save scene layouts, you can make copies of the scenes.xconfig file in %appdata%/OBS.
