How did you fix it? I am having same issue after updating OBS
after I contacted the Deckboard support, I was told to enter the port as IP 127.0.0.1 the port is the one you want and then you have to click on the start button and it connects to OBS Studio

Can you explain a slightly different way? It's not working for me.... IP address as 127.0.0.1 ...... I have Port: 4444 but it won't connect to OBS..Start Button makes it where I can use the buttons on my computer but they don't change anything in OBS either.

Ip enter it as shown in the screenshot in the settings, the port put the one you want, important that it is the same on both OBS and Deckboard

Open OBS, open Deckboard on your PC and click on the start button as shown in the screenshot, just do it once then at the next start it connects itself to obs

The one on OBS you do not have to change it, the screnschot and clear IP must be entered on the Deckboard options, you just have to make sure that the port is the same in both software, if you use the tablet in synchronized and installed the new version?

P.S
Sorry if my English is not perfect but I use google translate and I only speak Italian.

Yes tablet deckboard app is up to date... In OBS it shows my actual IP address, in deckboard I have IP as 127.0.0.1 and port 4444, same port in OBS and it still just keeps saying OBS Studio disconnected in deckboard desktop.

But Deckboard on the tablet has synchronized ??? if you spoke Italian I have English I gave you a hand on Discord using remote desktop, the procedure is the one I described to you, there is something wrong set, I don't know how to help you more than that.

English only here...the app on tablet connects to PC yes..but not to OBS or the desktop app doesn't connect to OBS ..I can control spotify with the tablet but not OBS

Surely you are wrong some steps, double check everything more calmly and carefully, I have told you everything I could to help you.

When I upgraded to OBS 28.0.1 I had an issue with Touch Portal, which connected and talked to the PC and I could run batch files etc, but it could not talk to OBS. In my case it was a simple config issue with OBS, the inbuilt Websocket needed to be enabled.

So in Deckboard, I have IP as 127.0.0.1 and Port is 4455...in OBS I can't change my IP to the 127.0.0.1 so it is my regular IP address and I have it enabled and port set to 4455. I don't know what else to do but OBS won't connect with Deckboard

Hey hi there, after reading all the comments and the solution, maybe you should look at github for more information. OBS v28 has it's own web-socket by default, I recommend looking up the version 2.0.5-rc02 of deckboard. After installing the new version of deckboard, you dont have to write down anything, just click the OBS symbol on right top of deckboard desktop app.

Except now as soon as I press my tablet and change a scene in OBS, OBS crashes. This is crazy lol

Completely crazy that now even if I click the scene in OBS, without using deckboard, OBS crashes. I don't get why it would do that.
