Question / Help Problem with Source "Capture of screen"

Hi guys,

With OBS classic, I was able to create a source for only a part of the screen, let's say only bottom left.

But now, with OBS studio, I can only take the full screen.

Can you tell how to do it with OBS studio ?

Didn't found anything on internet and tested every single sources type.

You can either hold Alt and drag the edges of the source around to crop it, or add a Crop/Pad under Filters on the source.

I just test it and there is a delay when i switch between scenes, all other element come in 0.0001 sec, but the screen part come 2 sec later, any idea how to fix it ???

Use Add Existing when inserting copy of the source to other scene.

@Suslik V : I have divided my screen in 4 so I can't Add existing cause it's 4 different sources.

My problem remain, any idea ? Thanks

ps: the 3 sec delay isn't here in OBS classic

Hi Fenrir, I just lauchned the stream to have a log files.

But when i upload the log file, i don't have the "Log upload sucessful" box..
And my folder logs remain blanks.

Looks like we found another problem lol.


Can you test my problem on your OBS tho ? 4 scenes, 4 differents part of your screen as sources and swap between scenes, tell me if you have 3sec delay.

( Between some scenes I have 3sec delay, between other i don't have... )

There's nothing about doing that which would cause a delay. I'll need to see a log from when it happened.

How you divided it to 4? If by using easy cropping (ALT+mouse) then you can add same source with different cropping as many as you have resources on your PC (via Add Existing of course).

Ohhhhh ! Thanks you @Suslik V ! I didn't know that when adding existing you could have differents parts of the screen with different cropping !


Now it works fine :)

ps : I stream poker, that's why I need 4 differents parts for each table.
