Question / Help Problem with QuickSync

Hello Guys,

I have a problem with OBS. But first some information about my setup. I have a DELL Monitor plugged in via DVI-D. If I want to record now with QuickSync, OBS is asking me to plugin a cable to my onboard CPU. And here comes the problem: in order to make it work I have to plugin a VGA cable to my DELL monitor and connect it with my onboard card or create a virtual second screen. Last option is giving me a second mouse cursor in the top left corner that doesn't move but changes icon. Really annoying. The other option is fine. But if I choose to record games, my FPS goes down. Usually I was recording League of Legends with QuickSync around 150+ FPS at 60fps. Not full HD because my Monitor only has 1440x900.

I never had to do that before. Why do I need to plugin a second VGA cable to my ONBOARD card in order to record games? Did anything change? Before I just selected QuickSync, configured some settings and hit record button and it worked like a charm.

Does anyone know whats up there? I did reinstall windows. But drivers should be updated. I even installed the latest intel driver for the HD4000. Can someone help?

My RIG:
OS: Windows 7 64bit
RAM: 4GB 1600 Mhz Corsair.
HDD1: Samsung SSD 840 Pro 256 GB.
HDD2: Western Digital 500gb.
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K
Graphics: GeForce 560 Ti

If you need any information, screenshots or whatever, ask for it. I will upload whatever I can. Logfile is attached below.

Edit: spelling

This could be one problem since you are running win7 and try to use monitor capture with aero enabled

make sure that you seperate the captures and if possible use game capture at all costs (aero doesnt matter but disabled could perform better)

window capture = aero enabled

monitor capture = aero disabled

for recording you can record 1080p60 on ultrafast preset

use either a bitrate+buffer of as example 15000/15000

or dont set your bitrate on default value (1000) and set the buffer to 0, which means the encoder decides how much bitrate is needed

cfr=checked
cbr=unchecked

I configured it like you said. Works like a charm now. ~200 FPS on max settings with x264 and the game runs as smooth as nothing is happening. Thank you.
