Question / Help Preview works but streaming doesn't

When I first set up OBS my first stream worked fine for the few minutes I tested it. When I shut it off and turned it back on, the stream never started and timed out about 10seconds into the attempt. My stream preview looks fine and makes it seem like everything is working but when I try to stream I still just time out after about 10-15 seconds.

You didn't specify what error you're getting. You also didn't include the log file, we need a log file to know what's going on: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/problem-make-sure-to-post-a-log-and-or-crash-dump-howto.97

Otherwise I guess I'll just guess. You either didn't paste in your stream key correctly, or you got disconnected and kept trying to reconnect and twitch did its usual "wait 15 minutes before trying again" thing where it'll continually disconnect you until you wait 15 minutes.
