Is it possible to stream w/ OBS but also send the video stream to another program to capture just the video? I know OBS can also record, but I don't want it to record my overlay and all the plugins.

No. You'd need to do it the other way around.
Something like DXtory can do this I believe. You'd cap the game with DXtory and configure it to record to disk, then set up its virtual camera interface as a video capture device in OBS, and stream out from there. This will also cause a higher system load as you'll effectively be double-encoding video... once to record the gameplay-only to disk, and once for the stream.

Be aware that if you use any kind of follower alert noise or music, DXtory will record all of that too in most cases. You may be able to set up VAC or VB-Audio to reroute the sound, but that can get in-depth quickly. Google is your friend.

Should clarify that I'm recording console game footage on a capture card and not PC games.

DXtory would be great, but from me messing around with it, I can't tell if it can record console game footage.

Use Amarec 2.20c; you can capture the main window in OBS or use its 32-bit 'live' virtual webcam output for streaming, and record in the program at a separate rate.

After googling around I found out that Amarec will not work with the Hauppage HD PVR 2. Pity.

Thanks anyways!

Oh yeah. The HDPVR2 is a non-standards-compliant device. OBS-MP has put in compatibility code, but Hauppage's shenanigans have been a problem for quite a while.
