I was going to set up a stream on my new monitor, but when i previewed it, it didnt take up the entire black area. Is this normal. Please help ive never done this before.

make sure to provide a log

and if you are streaming 1080p and capture 720p it might be possible that you have to change the capture settings to "stretch to fullscreen"

you can find the settings if you look at your obs you can see scenes and sources and under sources, if you are as example using game capture, right click on the game capture then properties and check the "stretch image to screen"
