I started using OBS this past week and for the first couple of days everything was going fine. Now I am having a serious issue though. First, while broadcasting to twitch my entire sound for my computer will cut out, sometimes it comes back after a minute or two other times I have to unplug and replug my headset back in. I also found out that when my sound cuts out while broadcasting, the broadcast itself dies and then comes back with no sound as well. This happens frequently now and I have no idea what is causing it since this is the only time this has ever happened. Secondly, after I end a broadcast my ram usage stays at around 50% even with all programs shut down and I have to reboot to get it back to around 16-18% usage, this is only happening after I broadcast as well. I have noooo idea whats going on or how to even begin to troubleshoot this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

If sound is cutting out for your entire computer, then it feels more like a driver/hardware issue. That's really the only thing it could be. Could you post a log of your session so I can get a good look at your system? I'm curious about what model of audio device you're using so I can take note of it for future reference.

As for ram - it's most likely just windows, you probably don't have to worry about it. The ram usage indicator in the process view is actually somewhat misleading because of the way windows handles ram. You'd know it if you were running out of RAM because then your system would get real slow and it would start actually using hard disk for memory.
