Hi guys. Want to start my own World of Warcraft Stream on twitch

currently have

CPU: Intel core i7 4770k 3.5ghz
stock cooler
8GB Corsair vengeance RAM
nvidia GTX 460 graphics card

dual monitors but i only play with 1 monitor just browse on the other,

resolution is 1920x1080

currently streaming at this rate and no downscale as i was getting bad quality, asked a few guild members to help me out with checking quality they said it was grainey and hard to read chat. i took the downscale of and said it was much better.

here is my speed test

http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/32880

here is my log file.

hope you can help thanks alot !

1080p30 with a 1700 bitrate it just not really going to work
also your speedtest link doesnt work

but since you set it to 1700 i'd recommend downscaling to 720p30 and since you got a really powerful cpu you can drop the preset to faster/fast without a problem when you are playing wow only

thanks for the reply.

My download speed is around 35mb and my upload is about 1.82mb

thanks i dont mind if its not 1080p i knew it wouldnt be with my upload speed, but how do i make it so it will be 720p? what resolution is that and do i downscale it? or do i change my res in WoW ?

kind of confused ! lol

In that log, you're streaming at 720p, so that's not that bad. You can control your resolution in your OBS Video settings

Thanks for getting back to me.

But when i watch the stream 60 seconds behind from my dashboard while playing it looks grainy and hard to see sometimes?

the chat is quite hard to read also.

If your bit rate cap is 1700, then you could downscale more. 540p and 480p would be other good options to try.

Well im not sure of my cap my uplaod speed is 1.80mb

so i just played around with the settings until i could get it smooth which was 1500-1700

when i downgrade it seems to make the quality worse?
