Hey,

Someone please help! I really wanna start streaming, and when I've been trying to, my game's framerate drops terribly and the stream is sort of laggy too. Any ideas of how i can optimize my settings or anything that could help fix this? Thanks!
I though with my internet being decent and my computer being decent as well I would be able to handle some streaming Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Your computer seems more than adequate to handle high def streams. 720/60 and 1080/30 (maybe 60 depending on game) but what are you trying to play and what are you using to capture it? If you are using monitor capture over game capture (best choice) or window capture (2nd choice) then you are going to not get a good stream due to how poor monitor capture is. Also i would say up your bitrate to 2500 right of the bat because you can more than handle it. Lower it if alot of viewers complain about buffering.

Thanks for replying :) Yeah im streaming battlefield Hardline and Battlefield 3 right now. I've turned my bitrate down to 2000, frame rate at 30, and im recording in 720 because im not a partner or anything. I've had monitor capture and game capture playing at the same time, and ive also tried just using game capture. Nothing seems to work, and im currently on settings that are less than my computer should be able to handle. The games will run beautifully for maybe 30 seconds, and then i'll have 30 seconds of like 10 fps and then itll go back and forth.

I have my macbook off to the side watching my stream just so i can monitor the quality of stream and the chat, and the viewers see lag when my game starts to lag or drop frame rate. When my game runs fine, the stream for the viewers looks fine. Ive also heard things about the "aero" option. Mine is off right now, could that help?

Aero should be on unless you are using monitor capture but essentially NEVER USE MONITOR CAPTURE. It can be very useful for browser games and certain applications like showing people how to do something on a computer but when running a game, especially a game with high graphics and high cpu usage such as BF3 you are going to ruin your stream instantly by using monitor capture. I have streamed BF3 with the same processor as you and a slightly different GPU configuration and done 720p 60fps, could have done 1080p but as im not partnered i chose not to.

Use game capture if possible and also see if your CPU or GPU is hitting excessively high temps during a stream.

the x264 preset can be changed to be less stressful on your CPU. The faster you set it the less work your CPU has to do. The slower you make it the harder it works. It starts on veryfast and although you can make it faster to compensate for your CPU I do not think it's something you should being with a 4ghz+ processor. I have the same processor and have never had problems. Main, 2. and CFR are all perfectly fine.

Have you checked your CPU and GPU temps and clocks during streaming? I assume you are overclocking your vishera? The default is 4000 and you have yours at 4415 so maybe it's running a little hot. I know the default heat sink/fan is not very good for it.

I don't really know much about computers, I've tried to stream again and the games are still essentially unplayable. Can you maybe give me a step by step of things i can maybe do. Im not sure how to check my CPU and GPU temps

I'm not really seeing anything that I can use from that log. Does the program allow you to see the temperature on some sort of graph? Simply run your game, stream it as best you can, and the temp monitor for roughly 30min and then look at the graph and see what kind of heat there is.
