Question / Help Please assist with HIGH CPU Usage, already read sticky.

First off I want to make note I did read pretty much everything I could regarding this issue and thank you greatly for proactively creating the sticky. I have checked numerous threads and even watched this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6O_tZVCxVzU) which I saw I didn't disable something while recording.

However, I am seeing extremely high usage with just OBS. Perfect example, I tested xsplit with the same settings (as much as they let you control) and the difference is staggering.

Attached is a screen shot of OBS and my CPU usage monitor.

Below is the video I shot with xsplit that shows it went smooth and no issues.

I love your application due to the customization and let's face it the amazing program you offer for free. Is there any advice you can offer? Could it be because the OBS screen shows a preview while recording/encoding? There either has to be something I'm missing or something that may be causing this high usage.

Please let me know if you need any further information to assist in troubleshooting.

Most recent one I have... If this isn't a good one, I'll use OBS again and send you that log.

Also, I just posted the log just now on your troubleshooter and I got a message about SLI. I am trying to disable and test but unsure if I can do it since I am unable to find the setting or if I even have it. For reference I'm working on a laptop that has an Intel and Nvidia card and from the factory this PC has some things that do not allow adjusting so I'm not sure if I can even disable this.

*UPDATE* This card is not SLI compatible so not sure why the log showed that if I may be using it to disable it:

Am I reading the log file correctly and you have your monitors connected to your integrated GPU instead of your NVIDIA card? If so that would be a good place to start.

I have a laptop and it has 2 cards. I am not sure if there is a way to switch that, but from what I get with the settings and some research I have done in the past, the Nvidia and Intel work hand and hand. I have Nvidia GeForce experience and all programs are used through the GeForce card and not Intel. If you have any suggestions on how to somehow switch that I would gladly try but not sure if it's even possible.

They are. I've tried everything. Xsplit works fine, it's just the encoding issue with OBS has been the issue.

So I stumbled across another article on another forum that wasn't entirely related to this issue, however I think it may have resolved it. Will test but I was able to record locally and watch the Blizzcon live stream and had no issues whatsoever.

I went into the device manager and uninstalled the Nvidia card and then uninstalled all the Nvidia drivers and componants (Make sure to save the driver for last since it will reboot). Once I did that it appears to have stabilized.

Thanks again for the assistance with this.
