Question / Help Pixelation during stream

Whenever I stream, I have a problem with my video being pixelated during the stream. Keep in mind that I don't have the greatest computer nor the greatest upload speed. My max bitrate is 425kb/s, buffer size 255, audio bitrate 128. I broadcast in 1280x720 on video.

I usually don't have a problem with this when I use my Elgato to stream, but it only happened when I played Bloons TD 5 on PC, which, I wasn't very far at all. Any solutions?

The bitrate you have set is the cause of the problem.

And running with a custom buffer size can make things worse, especially if the buffer size is smaller than your bitrate.

720p at only 400 Kbps will indeed look like crap because that's an incredibly low bitrate for the resolution you're streaming at.

Is there any way I could improve my connection? I've used an ethernet cable, but it was about the same.
If not, what should I reduce my bitrate to?
Also, what resolution should I go down to?

You would need to pay for a better internet package. Call your ISP. With only ~400-500 Kbps available I honestly wouldn't bother streaming.
