When I record with OBS, I get no lag at all. (I record Minecraft)
The video is pixelated and sometimes very blurry making it difficult to watch.

For example, (this is my recording) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHL1BHQ9mxw
If you see in the beginning it is fine but as it progresses it seems to get pixelated and more blurry.
I've used the estimator that OBS provides and doesn't seem to work.

This is from someone elses YouTube channel, he also uses OBS and his video seems to be fine and not pixelated at all.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oI4jr79ba38
There are also many other YouTubers that use OBS and there videos are also clear and non pixelated.

My Specs:
Nvidia Gtx 960
Intel i5, 4690k
(Since I have Nvidia, I'm also not sure if I should use x264 or Nvidia Nvenc)

Internet:
20 MBPS Upload

OBS Settings:
Quality Balance = 10
Max bitrate = 3000
Video = 1280, 720
x264 is also set to veryfast.

Please help,
Thanks

post your logfile

turn off CBR set buffer (not bitrate) to 0 and preset to superfast

What do you mean logfile and my CBR is already off
you should really read the OBS guide. There is a lot of info in there to help you understand what you are using the and the power of a properly configured stream.http://jp9000.github.io/OBS/ <---OBSguide

Post your logfile like this:

file sizes are bigger and less CPU usage. you want to use as much CPU as possible without affecting your game. superfast should be low enough for most cases.
Thank you for your help! :)

May have another problem, I recorded and uploaded this today. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhAmVjfB188)
As you can see the beginning was clear and when the video progressed it slowly lost quality and I still don't know why that happens.
looks the same, beginning and end, you just have to compare similar scenes. movement and colors and brightness can all encode differently.

the intro I dont compare, either do I when you were in the box. I wait til you get out and start to fight. then compare that with the end. Looks the same quality.

If you want more quality, you'll need to use the "crf=" comand in the custom x264 options.

I warn you not to go to low as it will add load to your CPU and size to the video. try crf=16 or 17

post a log of the results

I put crf=20, is that fine?
And thanks for the long response ;P

Will this help when streaming to twitch and the stream looks pixelated? I've been having this issue off/on (mostly on) as of late. Some days my video quality will look decent, most days any motion will have huge pixelations even at 720p, 30fps, 2500kbps.

No! those settings are for local recording. Streaming will be completely different settings as you will be restricted on bitrate and need to use the normal x264 preset and remove the 0 buffer size and recheck CBR.

your best bet is to start your own thread with a logfile.
