Question / Help PC FREEZES WHEN STREAMING

We're getting the same thing. My son has a quad core system with GTX 650 video card and he never has any trouble with it unless he's streaming with OBS. When streaming, at random times, he gets the blue screen. In our case, it says "video_scheduler_internal_error" and the details show "invalid fence ID" in OBS.exe. Running the latest iteration of Windows 10 and he's usually streaming CSGO. We've tried various video settings in OBS but I admit we don't know what most of them are. We've also tried various settings in the GTX 650 video driver (for which we have the latest version), such as setting multi-threading to "on". Nothing seems to have any effect. Maybe your problem is similar? Are there any OBS settings we should try?

Thanks,
Mike

Post an OBS log file of at least five minutes of high action gameplay.

This is your CPU: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+A8-7650K&id=2489

From the problems people have with better CPUs than yours, you probably won't have a good experience gaming and video encoding simultaneously on that computer.

Make a new thread with an OBS log file linked. I doubt your problems are closely related to the OP's of this thread, and your problem will just distract from his. Bad internet manners (albeit unintentional I'm sure).

How would you know whether my blue screen is different than the OP? That's why I posted details of mine: I was wondering (and querrying the OP) to see if maybe it's the same problem. As the symptoms are identical (blue screen followed by PC freeze), seemed like a good place to post it.

We're all volunteers and fellow OBS users here. You can post it whenever you want.
To post that log with at least 5 mins of intense game play i only have to have obs open , right? or i have to do something else beside?

You take the entire log file, not just a small part of it.

Also, make sure you're using the current version (0.655b as of this post)
