Question / Help Overlay borders hides the game...

Hello,

I am trying to setup my OBS again and add a cool border overlay... But when I move the Overlay image ABOVE the game in the scenes it hides the game behind and only shows the overlay, but when I move the scene down below the game, then I can see everything again.

I am unsure what I am supposed to do but I have added a few images to show you what I am on about if they are helpful.

As you can see by the two photos I have uploaded, when I swap them around I am losing the game behind the screen too which I have no clue what to do.

Photos are too large to upload so I used photobucket...

The overlay image seems to be missing transparent parts! Is it a png file with transparency or just a jpg with black background? The latter would explain your problems. You need to remove the black parts then and save it as a transparent png for example. Then it should work fine in OBS.
For example try with this image to get an idea of how it works: http://i1.minus.com/ir0QwQrdgoc5P.png

Hello,

Thank you for the speedy reply, that is most likely the problem which brings me too a second one... I do not have photoshop to do this.

The photo I am trying to use as an overlay I have uploaded, to which I have uploaded both, one with a name (Which looks terrible) and one without.
